Managing a successful Instagram account is no small task, especially when you’re just starting out or on your own. I am so thankful that technology exists to make it easier. Instagram is all about the imagery and engagement with your followers. Because it can be so time consuming, it’s important to have a good set of go-to apps that can help you out. I am sharing my favorite apps that I use everyday to stay organized, create content, and easily communicate with my tribe on Instagram! Here the three must have apps to help you grow your Instagram account in 2019.
1. Lightroom CC – We all know that Instagram is a visual platform and quality photos are the key to success. This free photo editing app is for mobile devices and tablets. It gives you a powerful, yet simple solution for capturing, editing and sharing your photos. I did recently upgrade to the $9.99 a month plan to have the premium features that give you seamless access across all devices – mobile, desktop and web, but you don’t have to upgrade. Lightroom works great with presets. Presets are all the rage right now. They are time saving editing tools that help you have a consistent photo feed and brand. In the basic option of this app, I was able to add in my own purchased presets, as well as use some of their presets. This app syncs with your phone camera roll, and has been a game changer for me. I highly recommend it.
2. Canva – I have been using the Canva website service for years on work projects and personal social media post designs. This past year I realized Canva had an app that could sync to my online account. It has everything you need for amazing designs and quote posts. You can design presentations, social media graphics and more with thousands of beautiful layouts and templates. You can also add type fonts, shapes and images to your projects. They have stock photos available as well. I use the free version for my needs, but there is an upgraded option to use additional photos and services. Their free social media templates are the best! They even have Pinterest Pins, Instagram Stories, and Facebook cover & post templates. You have to check this app out!
3. Planoly – This recent find has made my life happy again. Those of you that are active on Instagram know how time consuming it can be if you do it right. Planoly is an Instagram visual management platform. They have an online website platform, as well as the app that will sync to your account. In previous jobs I used Hootsuite and SproutSocial for social media planning, and love the Planoly Instagram platform much more. It helps you manage and schedule your content in advance. You can visually plan by using their drag and drop feature to arrange content before posting it live. This feature allows you to see your grid layout in advance and make changes if necessary. You can add your captions and use their wonderful hashtag feature as well. I am loving the free version, but I noticed some wonderful paid features for affiliate marketing that I will be looking into. Thanks you for saving me hours Planoly.
These are the three apps that have been game changers for me! I hope you have enjoyed this article and it will help you grow and connect with others in your space! I have made some amazing friends through the squares on the Instagram grid. What a wonderful way to get to know people in a deeper way.
Blessings to you my friend!

Those are the same 3 apps I use! In fact, I’ve tried others but I keep coming back to these.
Hi Pam! I’m so glad you agree. These apps are a life saver for time and quality. Have a fabulous day XO Lana 🙂
Do you share what presets you use? If so, I’d love to know.
Hi Becky!
Sure… I use LMB presets when I use presets. I purchased 3 from Liz Marie Galvan @lizmarieblog. I think they were only $10. I only use them about half of the time, but they sure make things easy if you don’t have time to adjust your pics yourself. Have a fabulous afternoon!
