How to Make the Ultimate Game Day Charcuterie Board with a Football Cheese Ball

Game Day Charcuterie with Football Cheese Ball

Whether you’re tailgating in a parking lot or hosting a game day gathering at home, the Game Day Football Cheese Ball board is a testament to the abundance of football season, promising a touchdown of joy for all who gather around. We take our football seriously here at the Grace-Filled Homestead and choose to celebrate with friends and family regularly to cheer on our hometown team, the Kansas City Chiefs.

My mother-in-love, Cindy Rose, was a KC Chiefs cheerleader at the very first Super Bowl in 1967. She is a super fan and has her red and gold memorabilia covering every inch of the den.

Many of you know and love The Chief, my hubby, CJ Stenner. He is the KCFD Rescue Chief and over the drone program at our stadium. His crews oversee the safety of the parking lot and fans at each home game. It was extra special for us to take his mom back to the stadium last month for their holiday pop-up event.

So if you are looking for a spread to share at your next game day gathering, this is it. The cheese ball, shaped like a football, is coated in savory bacon. It becomes the star player on a board surrounded by a lineup of buffalo wings, mini sweet peppers, crisp celery sticks, fresh broccoli florets, and sugar snap peas.

Place the football cheese ball in the center of your board. Wash and chop broccoli florets and celery stalks into 2-inch pieces, placing them on the board. Wash the peppers and snap peas, drying them before positioning them on the board. Add your cracker next to the cheese ball. Finally, warm buffalo wings can be added just before serving.
