Hot Cocoa Station

As the temperatures cool down, sipping hot cocoa by the fire is a family tradition. Adding sweet goodies to a tray can make a fun serve-yourself station for your friends and family. Pouring warm milk over powdered cocoa mix brings back memories of all those vintage Christmas decorations and holiday movies. No one needs to know just how many treats you add to your cozy cup of goodness. Just like Christmas, this experience will delight kids of all ages.

Board Ingredients

1 1/2 cups powdered cocoa mix
1 cup mini marshmallows
2 cups flavored specialty marshmallows
12 rolled crème filled wafer cookies (we use Pepperidge Farms Pirouttes)
12 powdered sugar dipping cookies
12 peppermint candies
8 cinnamon sticks
1 cup heavy whipping cream
6 crushed peppermint candy stir sticks
6 white chocolate–covered chocolate spoons
8 cups milk

Board Directions

Place your powdered cocoa mix in a bowl with a serving spoon. Add the marshmallows, cookies, candy, and cinnamon sticks to the board. Add the heavy whipping cream to a pouring dish and fill in the extra spaces with the stirring sticks and chocolate covered spoons. Set out your favorite holiday mugs. Warm the milk on the stove and serve it in an insulated carafe to pour over the powdered cocoa mix.
