This ooey-gooey, cheesy delight is as fun to make as it is to eat. Wrapped in a warm, flaky blanket of crescent roll dough, this tasty treat is perfect for lunch or dinner. So gather your ingredients, grab your clean scissors, and let’s tuck this little piggy in for a deliciously cozy bite!

Yield: 1 hot pocket

Ingredients

3 crescent roll dough wedges
3 mini ham or Canadian bacon slices, round, 3 inches across
2 square Swiss cheese slices
2 peppercorns or other edible herbs or seeds for eyes
Dijon mustard, for dipping

Directions

Preheat the oven to 375°F. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper and place two dough wedges touching each other to make a rectangle. Slightly pinch the seams together. Place one slice of cheese on the top half of the dough rectangle, add a round piece of ham on top of the cheese. Repeat that process by placing a cheese square and ham circle on the bottom half of the dough rectangle. Use the third piece of ham to make the piggy face. Cut and place two triangles, one larger oval, and two small circles on the head for the ears and nose. To make the bed covers, form the third dough wedge into a square and place over the bottom half of the bed, pinching the sides to tuck him in. Add peppercorns for the eyes. Bake for 10 minutes and serve with Dijon mustard for dipping.
