This easy apple galette is delicious and only takes a few minutes to make. As the air starts to crisp and apples ripen at the orchards, this dish has all the cozy fall flavors. The best part is that your kitchen will smell like you’ve been baking for hours, but no one will know just how simple this yummy autumn dish is to throw together quickly.

If you desire, you can make your own apple pie filling. Although that is a fun afternoon in the kitchen, today I’m going to give you the shortcut version, so you will have extra time to spend with your loved ones outside enjoying the beautiful fall leaves.

With only 5 ingredients, this simple dish is a breeze to make. I always have the ingredients in the house and can whip up this beautiful masterpiece at a moment’s notice. Your guest will feel welcome with the scents of fall, and that first bite is filled with farm-to-table goodness. This rustic dish is loved by foodie friends as well as grandpa at the farm.

Ingredients

1 sheet frozen-thawed puff pastry

2 cups of apple pie filling

1 T sugar for crust sprinkling

1 tsp ground cinnamon for sprinkling

1 egg whisked for egg wash

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 425F. Lightly flour a working surface and roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet into a large square or rectangle. Transfer to a cooking spray-coated baking sheet.

Apple Galette Instructions

Add the pie filling to the center of the puff pastry sheet, leaving an inch or two empty around the edge for folding. Fold and tuck the remaining puff pastry. Remember this foodie dish is better when it’s imperfect and rustic, so don’t stress about what your folds look like. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon around the pastry edges.
